1. Do we need to bring our own towels, bed and kitchen linen?
No we supply hotel quality bed linen, pillows and towels, BUT if you are bringing a travel cot, you will need to supply your own travel cot linen.
We will also provide you with a tea towel and a kitchen cloth. Please tell us in advance if you have asthma or allergies so we can ensure your bed is made up with hypoallergenic bedding. As a rule, all our quilts are cotton and pillows are bamboo, but sometimes when we provide extra blankets - these may be made from materials that cause sensitivities for some people. Let us know and we will remove them ahead of your stay.
2. Can we stay for one or two nights?
During weekends and public holidays we now require a minimum two night stay. At all other times you can choose to stay for one night or more - the choice is up to you.
3. Can we drive our car up to the tent?
If you have a full 4WD, yes you can drive down the hill to the glamp site Otherwise, you can park your car at the house and we can either give you a ride in our 4WD or you can take the walking track to the glamp site.
4. Can we bring our dog?
No, we are very sorry, but you cannot bring your dog. This is a working farm and the glamp site is situated in an area of native bush with wildlife that is not used to dogs.
5. Can we bring a travel cot?
Yes, but please remember to bring the linen for your travel cot as we do not supply this
6. Is there a fridge to keep food and drink cold?
Because our glamping site is off grid, there is no electricity and therefore no fridge. However, both the Friesian and Angus tents have their own cooler complete with ice bricks which we supply for you.
7. What cooking facilities are there?
The Friesian tent has its own kitchen with a BBQ and single ring gas stove. The bell tents, Angus and Dexter, will share a kitchen which also has a BBQ and a 2 ring gas stove. At the moment, we only have one bell tent, Angus and so the facilities are exclusive to Angus.
8. Is there Wi-Fi?
No, this is an off-grid experience. 3G and 4G signal is available on the farm and at the glamp site. If you absolutely need wi-fi, McDonalds is less than 3 kilometres away.
9. Are the showers and toilets communal?
The Friesian tent (which sleeps up to 6) has its own flushing toilet, gas-powered shower, kitchen facilities and outdoor bath. The two bell tents Angus and Dexter will share a flushing toilet and gas-powered shower. At the moment, only Angus is up and ready for this season, so the facilities that would normally be shared by Angus and Dexter are exclusively available for Angus only.
10. Is electricity available for charging our phones?
We do have an external power point up at the house (which is several hundred metres away from the glamp site) should you need it. Otherwise, you might like to charge your phone using your in car charger or bring a power pack with you to charge your devices.
11. Can we bring our own tent?
No, we do not offer tent pitching facilities.
12. Do we have to clean the tent before we leave?
Yes, we ask that you please ensure that all the washing up is done and put away. If you hire more than one tent, please ensure that the cutlery and plate ware is returned to the original kitchen it came from.
13. What are the arrival and departure times?
We ask that you arrive no later than about 4pm or 5pm whilst it is still relatively light, as the glamp site is a little way from the farm and down a slight incline. We need you to see and familiarize yourself with the layout in daylight.
We ask that you check out no later than 10:30am. We are a working farm and like you, have busy daily schedules.
14. Is any food provided?
Our camp kitchens are supplied with a few basics to get you started such as condiments, olive oil, vinegar and sugar. We provide you with yummy muesli, milk, bread and eggs for breakfast
We can also supply heat and eat meals if you wish (as optional treats).
